Backgammon Online: Gameplay

The game involves two participants. Choose your opponent – a real player or a computer. Each participant has 15 checkers and 2 dice. The task of each player is to move the checkers across the field in a circle and take them outside the yard.

There are 24 segments on the board – points. Depending on their location, they form 4 categories – the house, the yard, and the opponent’s house and yard. They are separated by a bar. The checkers are arranged in five, three, two and five. Players roll the dice simultaneously to determine who will start the first move.

The checkers move towards each other. The movement starts from the opponent’s house and returns to their own house and is removed from the field at the finish line. Roll the dice to figure out how many values to move the checkers. You can move checkers to points where there are no enemy elements or only one piece. Such a checker is considered killed and moves to the bar in the centre of the field.

If the dice have the same value, the player gets a double move and can go through the same number of values with one or even four pieces.
The winner is the player who manages to remove all the checkers.
