Take the snake game, add the numbers from 2048, and you get Cubes 2048.io. You steer a snake made of cubes across a shared map and collect numbered blocks. The more you eat, the higher your own number grows, and the aim is to end up on top of the leaderboard.
There is one important rule: you can only eat blocks with a number smaller than yours. That makes the early game about safe collecting, and the late game about hunting rivals, because the small blocks on the map are no longer enough to grow quickly.
You move with the mouse. Hold the left mouse button and your snake gets a short speed boost, handy for a getaway or for cutting off a smaller player. The map also has acceleration zones where it is easier to chase an opponent down. Rounds are played against other people, so every one goes differently.
