The fifth part of the Vex series arrives with a fresh set of levels, a list of achievements to unlock and plenty of new traps waiting to catch you off guard. Vex 5 is an agility game: you guide your runner from the start of each stage to its exit, and the stage itself is the enemy.
Movement uses WASD or the arrow keys, and that is the whole control scheme. The R key restarts the current level instantly, which you will press a lot. One misstep into a trap sends you back, and an instant restart keeps the rhythm going instead of parking you in a menu.
The publisher promises you will get vexed, and the name is no accident. Treat each failed attempt as a scouting run: note where the traps sit, then go again with a cleaner route. Achievements add extra goals once a level is beaten. For a break full of explosions and other players, Super Bomberman 4 is waiting on the site.
