Volley Random is the next entry in RHM Interactive’s Random series, and it treats volleyball very loosely. The athletes are floppy ragdolls, and from one match to the next the game may swap the court, the ball or the players themselves. Whatever turns up, your task does not change: land the ball on the other side of the net and keep scoring.
The controls could hardly be smaller. Player one presses W, player two presses the Up arrow key, and on a phone or tablet you tap the screen. Two people can share a single keyboard, which is how the game is clearly meant to be played. The wobbly bodies make every jump a little unpredictable, so watch where the ball is heading before you press. A calmer kind of ball physics is waiting in Two Ball 3D, and the variations here mean every rematch starts from a fresh setup.
