About Tetra Arcade

Tetra Arcade is a falling-blocks puzzle dressed as a 1980s arcade cabinet: a black screen, bold red, yellow and blue blocks, chunky pixel lettering and a menu you steer with a blinking block cursor. Seven familiar pieces drop into a ten-column well. Slide and rotate them to complete rows, which then disappear. Let the stack reach the top and the round is over.

There are eight ways to play. Marathon climbs fifteen levels of rising speed, or keeps going if you choose endless. Sprint times how fast you can clear 40 lines and shows a live pace bar against your personal best. Ultra is a two-minute score attack, and Zen has no game over at all: top out and the upper part of the stack melts away. Classic 89 brings back old-school rules with no hold, no hard drop, no ghost piece, a single preview, the original speed curve and a level select from 0 to 19. Versus CPU puts you against a computer opponent on four levels, up to an Insane opponent that uses hold and T-spins, and 2 Players lets two people share one keyboard. The Daily race gives everyone the same 20 lines of pieces each day, with a result you can copy and share.

The modern modes follow the conventions experienced players expect: standard wall kicks, an optional 180-degree turn, a fair seven-piece bag, hold, five next pieces, a ghost piece, lock delay, T-spins including minis, back-to-back bonuses, combos and all clears. You can tune the auto-shift delay, repeat rate and soft-drop speed, and remap every key.

On phones, solid arcade buttons sit beside the board, and you can also drag, flick and tap directly on the well. Recorded clicks, wooden knocks, poker-chip clatters and short chiptune jingles mark the moves that matter, without any background music. Personal bests, pieces per second and attack per minute are kept in your browser.
