About Minesweeper: No Guess

Minesweeper: No Guess is the classic mine-clearing puzzle with one big difference: every board can be solved by logic alone. Your first click always opens an area. From there, every move can be worked out from the numbers. You will never reach the frustrating end-game where a coin flip decides between a win and a loss.

Each number shows how many of the eight surrounding cells hide a mine. Dig cells you know are safe, flag the mines you have found, and clear the whole field. Click a number whose flags are complete to open all its other neighbours at once. This “chord” is the fastest way to play. On a phone, tap to dig and hold to flag (your phone buzzes when the flag goes down), or switch the big Dig/Flag button. Pinch to zoom on the larger boards.

Choose Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, or build a custom board up to 50×40. Prefer the old-fashioned thrill of a lucky guess? Switch to Classic boards. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same no-guess board each day. Beat it, then copy a short, spoiler-free result to share your time.

Stuck? Press Hint. The game highlights one move that is certain right now, outlines the numbers that prove it and explains the reasoning in a single sentence. It covers simple counting, comparing two neighbouring numbers, and checking every possible arrangement or the number of mines left. It is a good way to learn the patterns strong players use. Hinted games still count as wins, but not for best times.

Play in the nostalgic Classic look with bevelled tiles and red LED counters, the flat Modern drafting-paper look with colour-blind-friendly numbers, or the dark Night look. Your statistics track best times, win rate, streaks and the speed measures enthusiasts care about: 3BV, 3BV per second and efficiency. Optional extras include question marks and a relaxed mode with one second chance per game.
